
The Ministry of Higher Education announces the establishment of the Forensic Science Department at Al-Karkh University of Science
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in accordance with the plan for the upcoming academic year 2021/2020 and in preparation to accommodate the increase in the number of high school graduates and a diagnosis of the scientific requirements imposed by community service contexts, has announced the establishment of the Forensic Science Department at the College of Science at Al-Karkh University of Science. The Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Thamir A. A. Hassan, said, “We congratulate our dear students for the establishment of the Forensic Science Department in the College of Science, and it will be included in the student’s guide for the new academic year, and that the application to the department will be subject to the controls and instructions of the Central Admission Department affiliated to the Studies, Planning and Follow-up Department of the Ministry of Higher Education And scientific research.”
Al-Karkh University of Science had established several rare scientific colleges and departments that serve the labor market, namely the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, the College of Science with its two departments of Medical Physics and Microbiology, and the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences, with its two departments, Renewable Energy and Environment.
The establishment of the Forensic Science Department comes after the Ministry of Higher Education approved the establishment of 20 departments, branches, and seven new colleges in fifteen universities in various regions of Iraq in order to raise the level of various educational services in conjunction with the blended education programs that will enable our institutions to expand their absorptive capacities. The Ministry of Higher Education and scientific research confirms the commitment and readiness of all university institutions to receive their students in the undergraduate studies for the new academic year that will start on December 6.
