The Ministry of Higher Education issued a statement in which it congratulated the educational family on Teacher’s Day. The following is the full text of the statement:

 Believing in their humanitarian message and acknowledging their efforts, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hussain Al-Shahristani heartedly congratulates the educational family in Iraq on Teacher’s Day; the day that is always present in our memory for the great achievements which the teachers have been carrying out on a solid base of carrying out responsibility and committing themselves to fulfill their mission sincerely.
 May Allah bless our teachers who grow the seeds of knowledge, education and awareness among our generations. May Allah keep them as a lofty buffering zone which protects our generations against the challenges of the present time in which all Iraqis have indulged in a big confrontation equipped with  will and keenness to defend their country; the country of the cradle of history, the land of law codes and the land of the epic of literature.
