
The President of Al-Karkh University of Science participates in the launch of the anti-terrorism, special operations and cybersecurity exhibition
The President of Karkh University of Science, Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Hassan, participated in the opening of the exhibition of combating terrorism, special operations and cyber security (ATSU Iraq 2021) in its first session on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair today, Saturday 11/9/2021, under the auspices of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and under the supervision of the National Security Adviser.
The participation of the President of the University in the opening of the exhibition activities included reviewing what was presented at the exhibition organized by the United Company for Exhibitions and Conferences, in cooperation and coordination with the General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions and Commercial Services, and with the support of the Iraqi security services (Strong Security Advisory, Anti-Terrorism Agency, National Security Service, Intelligence Service, Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defense With the participation of a number of foreign and Arab companies working in this field, in addition to diplomatic missions operating in Iraq, state ministries and bodies not linked to a ministry.
The president of the university said during his touring in the exhibition: that Karkh University of Science is one of the Iraqi universities interested in the topic of global experiences in managing cyber security, and the use of data encryption in developing the security of social networking sites, and the security of cellular communications, and that cyber security has a great impact on national security, and from It is necessary to activate it in the academic and applied research aspect, and to see the government’s procedures in the field of cybercrime law, and access portals.
It is worth noting that the exhibition witnessed the participation of more than 52 companies from 15 foreign and Arab countries (China, France, Turkey, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, the United States of America, Ukraine, Greece, Slovakia, the Czech Republic), in addition to the participation of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and a number of Security authorities and specialized Iraqi companies
