
The Secretariat of the University of Karkh Council for Sciences held its eleventh regular session
The Secretariat of the University of Karkh Council for Sciences held its eleventh regular session, chaired by Dr. Jumaa Salman Jihad, President of the University, and attended by the University President’s Assistants for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, deans of colleges, and heads of departments (Quality Assurance and University Accreditation) and (Computer Science Department), to discuss the digital transformation and automation project. During the session, the project implementation phases were reviewed, and progress was monitored regarding the preparation of the university’s infrastructure and technical and administrative staff.
A number of decisions were reached, including the following:
First: Develop a plan to expand specializations across all university colleges.
Second: Discuss the introduction of a postgraduate diploma in the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics.
Third: Encourage research paths through supervision and discussions.
Fourth: Work on automating the Ministry’s work and digital transformation at our university.
In addition, several topics were discussed during the meeting, including the new working hours and the development of recommendations and action plans for implementation in the coming period.
During the meeting, University President Professor Juma Salman Jiyad emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of work on the university’s programs, as well as developing a clear timeline for completing all requirements for advancing the university’s status. He affirmed his determination to truly advance and develop the university’s status and work to raise its academic ranking at all local and international levels. For their part, the attendees expressed their full support for the efforts made to ensure the success of the automation and digital transformation project and the other items mentioned above. Finally, the attendees emphasized the need to intensify cooperation between various departments to achieve the desired goals on time, ensuring the institution’s reputation is enhanced and its work is advanced.
