Under the slogan “Ramadan, the Spring of the Qur’an,” Al-Karkh University of Sciences participates in Quranic lectures at the University of Baghdad.
A delegation from Al-Karkh University of Sciences, represented by the university president, Professor Juma Salman Anad, deans of colleges, faculty members, affiliates, and students, participated in this faith gathering organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the University of Baghdad. The lecture was delivered by His Eminence Sayyid Abdul Salam Zain Al-Abidin.
The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, presidents of several universities, general managers, and important figures inspired by these blessed days of Ramadan, the depth of faith, the consolidation of Islamic culture, and the values of tolerance and moderation.
The lecture covered the Sunnah of the obligation of Ramadan in the Holy Qur’an and other divine religions. It also highlighted the virtues of fasting and the rewards it brings, emphasizing the spiritual connection with God and restraining the soul from desires. It also addressed the impact of fasting on building society and its role in strengthening moral and educational values. It also addressed the importance of maintaining family ties and empathizing with the suffering of the poor. At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Abdul Salam Zain Al-Abidin commended the efforts of those who organized this blessed event, stressing the need to intensify efforts to promote this field within academic circles.
