Hassan, participated in the second conference on sustainable development in water resources which was organized by ministry of water resources at the invitation of His Excellency minister of water resources.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n<span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\"><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; The participation included two researches by &nbsp;Dr. Rafa Abbas , Dean of college of remote sensing and geophysics, and Dr. Furat Al-Moussawi , the Dean assistant for administrative affairs , on the importance of marshes and oil exploration.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\"><strong>Dr. Thamir A. Hassan ,in his speech , said that considering Ministry of Water Resources as a sovereign Ministry &nbsp;is very important at this stage, especially it is no less important than Ministry of Defense , Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs .<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\"><strong>He also added that the next stage will be a phase of escalation on the level of claims of water quotas , in the presence of the Turkish &nbsp;Alesso dam and the Iranian Karrun dam , which may deprive Iraq from its water share .<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n<span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\"><strong>It is worth mentioning that the conference witnessed important lectures by Dr. Mahdi Al- Haffid on reform in fiscal, monetary policy and banking sector and Dr. Abdul Latif Rasheed , the former Minister of Ministry of Water Resources , on how to make a maximum use of resources and the necessity to contract international agreements relating to the preservation the Iraq&rsquo;s right of water quotas . <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\"><strong>Another lecture by Hisham Al-Midfaai on the fixed level of water of Tigris river . <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><span style=\"font-family:times new roman,times,serif\"><strong>The lectures concluded with a valuable lecture by His Highness Minister of Water Resources Dr. Hassan Al-Janabi on the strategies &nbsp;and plans of the Ministry .<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/uploads\/2017\/7\/water1.jpg\" style=\"height:360px; width:700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/uploads\/2017\/7\/water2.jpg\" style=\"height:525px; width:700px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A delegation from Al-Karkh university of science, headed by Prof. Dr. Thamir A.
