A delegation of students from Al-Karkh University of Science, under the guidance and sponsorship of the President of Al-Karkh University of Science, Professor Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Hassan, attended one of the activities of the Fourth Baghdad International Theater Festival, (Liquid Fear), and in the presence of a number of teaching staff and associates.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The university president said in a special meeting with the students after the end of the theatrical performance on campus that the goal of this initiative is to seek to prevent the deviation of artistic taste and create a generation of conscious students armed with values, literature, and purposeful art, in addition to the scientific aspect.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the initiative is a response to everyone who tries to distort values \u200b\u200band distort the artistic and audio taste of young people, by organizing festivals and concerts for those who are interested in the arts and those who abuse it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He pointed out that Al-Karkh University of Science is organizing such initiatives on the principle that universities have two goals, the first is academic education and the second is community service, noting that the university is preparing to open its own theater soon, after rehabilitating it and completing the necessary preparations for that.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For their part, the students expressed their happiness with the initiative of the President of the University, stressing that the play Prevailing Fear is one of the theatrical works that restore the Iraqi theater\u2019s status and prestige, which commercial theater sought to undermine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
