A Lecturer in the Department of Medical Physics on the MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
The Department of Medical Physics at the College of Science at Al-Karkh University of Science organized a lecture on the magnetic resonance imaging system (MRI), in the presence of a number of instructors and students.
The lecture, which was given by Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Abbas, provided a brief introduction to the operation of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system used in medical hospitals, as well as a comparison between images created by MRI and CT scan.
The lecture aimed to introduce the method of operation of the MRI and its types, showing the importance of conducting diagnostic medical imaging for it gives distinctive images in the imaging of the tissues, arteries and neurological changes in the brain. MRI is also used to provide treatment plans based on radiation therapy.
