Al-Karkh University of Science Organized a Celebration to Honor the First and Distinguished Students

Al-Karkh University of Science has organized a celebration to honor its first and distinguished students, in the presence of the Chancellor of the University Dr. Thamir A. Hassan, the deans of the colleges, the staff as well as the students and their parents.

The ceremony included the distribution of medals and certificates of appreciation and shields, for the first students in the colleges and departments, who are outstanding scientifically, culturally and athletically.

The Chancellor of the university said in a speech that the country has gone through the war and the elimination of the terrorist groups. Today, it is important to start the stage of building the human, and unleash the revolution of reformation taking the responsibility, to contribute to the advancement and to keep pace with technological and scientific development.

He added that the aim of this celebration is to spread the positive phenomenon and combat the negative phenomena, although rare, and to motivate students to make more efforts to be able to contribute progress and prosperity in Iraq. The students of Al-Karkh University of Science is an important model in the Iraqi universities.

He pointed out that volunteering is an important component of rebuilding and self-sufficiency, calling on students and staff to contribute to volunteering, which serves the university and society in general.
