Al-Karkh University of Science organized a protest stand to condemn the offence made by Middle East Arab Newspaper against Iraqi women and Iraq Holy places, with the participation of lecturers, the University and College staff and the students. 
 The Protesters held banners calling for the official authorities to close the newspaper's offices in Iraq and expel the journalists from the Iraqi journalists' union, and they demanded the newspaper and the authorities in Saudi Arabia to make a formal apology.
 For his part, the Chancellor condemn this disgraceful act that was made by Middle East Arab Newspaper, where he stated" the slander and lies on the people who glorify the rituals of Allah and the marchers in the way of Imam Hussein (Peace be upon Him) are sordid attempts seeking to undermine the dignity and honor of Iraqi women, and after being unable to sow sectarian between the sons of the country, the sectarianism pens sought to walk in this pernicious approach".
