The Council of Al-Karkh University of Science Holds its Regular Session

The Council of Al-Karkh University of Science eld on Sunday 22/4/2018 its ninth regular session under the chairmanship of the Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Dr. Thamir A. Hassan, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellors of the at the University for administrative and scientific affairs, the deans of the colleges and a number of heads of scientific and administrative departments.

The meeting discussed the decisions and directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Committee Opinion regarding the need to communicate with international universities and the interrelationship with them. He also urged the new universities to contact the organizations concerned with the classification of universities.

The session covered a number of topics including preparations for the first international conference of Al-Karkh University of Science on the recent contributions of geophysics and remote sensing techniques related to oil exploration, completion of curricula and completion rates, making final preparations, discussion of the research file and prospects for joint cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology. The session also includes discussing the scientific research and its contribution to serve the scientific and research side between the two institutions.

During the meeting, the University Chancellor praised the efforts of the students, Vice-Chancellors, and instructors who contributed to the awareness campaign that was held at the second site of the university in the Amiriya district, stressing that their efforts are real steps towards representing an ideal society.
