Goal:

The department aims to raise the level of scientific research and provide a high-quality graduate program that keeps pace with academic and scientific developments and contributes to community service and sustainable development.

Vision:

The Department of Graduate Studies is a vital department in educational institutions and universities, overseeing post-bachelor’s academic programs, such as diplomas, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees.

Administrative Structures of the Department:

Student Affairs Follow-up Division.
University Documents, Certificates, and Orders Division.
Admissions and Registration Division.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ranking from Senior Official to Administrative Officer
• Senior Official: Assistant to the University President for Academic Affairs (Assistant Professor Dr. Ihab Naji Abbas). Duties: Communicating with relevant entities within and outside the university regarding graduate studies (such as the Ministry of Higher Education or government accreditation institutions).
• Department Head (Assistant Professor Basma Hussein Hamad) Responsibilities: Administrative, organizational, and academic supervision of graduate programs.
• Student Affairs Follow-up Division Head (Assistant Professor Zahraa Hamid Alwan) Responsibilities: Monitoring students’ academic progress from registration to graduation, handling deferral, withdrawal, and transfer requests.
• Admissions and Registration Division Head (Assistant Professor Hussein Haider Muhammad) Responsibilities: Organizing applications and admissions to the Master’s program, reviewing admission applications, and ensuring they meet the requirements.
