
The College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics at Al-Kharkh University of Science Celebrates the Graduation of its Fifth Class of Students
In a festive atmosphere, the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics at Al-Kharkh University of Science celebrated the graduation of its fifth class of students for the academic year 2024-2025. The ceremony was held at the university’s first campus on Haifa Street. The ceremony was attended by the university president, Professor Juma Salman Jiyad; the assistant president for academic affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihab Naji Abbas; the dean of the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abbas Hassan; and a number of academic and administrative figures, as well as the families of the graduating students.
The ceremony began with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by a welcoming speech by the assistant dean for administrative affairs, Dr. Haider Madlul Abdul, in which he expressed the college’s deanship’s happiness at seeing the fruits of its efforts embodied in the graduation of students who have set an example of diligence and perseverance.
The University President, Professor Jumaa Salman Jihad, delivered a speech on this occasion, expressing his pride in this group of graduates. He emphasized that the college continues its mission of preparing specialized scientific cadres in the fields of remote sensing and geophysics, who can contribute effectively to supporting national development projects and scientific research.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, commemorative photos were taken amid an atmosphere of joy, pride, and gratitude.
It is worth noting that the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics is one of the leading colleges in its field in Iraq, and it continuously strives to update its curricula and enhance the capabilities of students by integrating theoretical and practical aspects.
