
The President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences tours the buildings and halls at the university’s second site in Abu Ghraib
The President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences, Professor Jumaa Salman Jiyad, conducted a field tour of the abandoned and underutilized buildings at the university’s second site in the Abu Ghraib district.
The visit was part of an assessment of the current status of university facilities and an identification of the available capabilities to utilize, rehabilitate, and maintain underutilized buildings.
During the tour, the President reviewed the details of the construction status of these buildings, noting the importance of utilizing these spaces in a manner that meets the university’s future needs and requirements and serves the development of the educational process.
The President also emphasized the need to equip these buildings to provide a modern educational and professional environment that meets the needs of students and faculty within a record period of time. He confirmed that the university administration will develop strategic plans to utilize these buildings effectively, in cooperation with relevant departments.
It is worth noting that this initiative comes within the framework of improving the university’s infrastructure and providing a distinguished academic environment that supports the aspirations of the university and its teaching and administrative staff towards excellence in various fields.
