Al-Karkh University of Science holds an event for the university’s cinema club.
Under the patronage and presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kazemi, Al-Karkh University of Science is holding Cinema Club activities at the university and on the banks of the Tigris River.
The event aims to show targeted awareness films that develop students’ abilities, in keeping with the moral system and avoiding the paths of deviance.
The university president said in his speech during the event that the purpose of opening the cinema club at the university is to develop student culture and demonstrate the importance and role of cinema in influencing individual behavior and its role in addressing societal conditions. Its horizons are also expanding to be a focus for attracting young people and improving their cultural taste. And intellectual, stressing the need for students to interact with the Cinema Club and express their opinions and present their impressions.
The event included the showing of an awareness film entitled “Heroes,” which talks about the arrogant young man (Khaled) who accepts the task of training a football team, made up of players suffering from mental disabilities, and the events follow after that.
