Based on the instructions of General Secretariat for the Council of Ministers to encourage voluntary work, Assist. Prof. Dr. Thamir A. Al-Kazimi, Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, held a meeting with members of Iraqi Young Leaders Gathering, under the leadership of the volunteer Hassan Al-Saadi.
An academic delegation from Al-Karkh University of Science headed by Prof. Dr. Salam Gomma Bash attended a workshop about cell phone towers which took place at college of Engineering/Al-Iraqia University, where Dr. Bash delivered a presentation entitled “the role of Scientific Research in dealing with disasters”.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Thamir A. Al-Kazimi, Chancellor of KUS, attended the Carnival that took place at University of Baghdad to support the heroes of Popular Crowds, in the presence of Dr. Fadil Al-Saadi, General Director of Psychological Center at Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Deans of college of Veterinary Medicine and college of Agriculture.
On the occation of International Women’s Day, a celebration was held at KUS as recognition of the efforts that woman provides in the fields of life and the need to activate her role in public life through involving her in all the official and non-official activities of the community.
