The National Strategic Committee for Strengthening the Rule of Law 2025–2029 at Al-Karkh University of Science held its third meeting, chaired by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihab Naji Abbas, in the presence of the committee members, to discuss the preparation of the University’s strategic plan in the field of strengthening the rule of law.

The meeting addressed a number of key areas related to preparing the strategic plan for Al-Karkh University of Science, in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Strengthening the Rule of Law, and in a manner that promotes the application of the principles of the rule of law and strengthens legal culture within the university environment.

The committee members discussed the fundamental pillars of the plan and mechanisms for identifying priorities, programs, and activities that contribute to raising legal awareness, supporting compliance with legislation, regulations, and instructions, and consolidating the values of justice, integrity, and institutional responsibility.

The meeting emphasized the importance of developing an integrated strategic plan that includes clear objectives and measurable indicators, ensuring that the objectives of the National Strategy for Strengthening the Rule of Law are translated into practical programs and activities within the environment of Al-Karkh University of Science.

This meeting comes as part of the committee’s continued efforts to prepare the University’s strategic plan for the period 2025–2029 and enhance its role in consolidating the rule of law and promoting legal culture, thereby supporting the establishment of a university environment based on compliance with laws, regulations, and institutional values.
